Now I had no idea what this guy was doing one day when I was returning from a photo job in Central, Hong Kong. But as I was making my way to the ferry pier to get back to Paradise - well, Lamma Island anyway - I spotted this fellow behaving in the most theatrical manner in the middle of the road near Western Market.

It turns that although out his job is helping to move stuff from the market, his hobby is directing the traffic, which he does between cart loads.

The idea of this blog is to capture the lighter, quirkier side of life . . . and this is an example of just that.

For those who think Hong Kong is all politics, economics and high-rise buildings, think again. There's always room for the odd eccentric (most of them on Lamma I have to say!!)
